Medulla (Oblongata)

MEDulla Man is a superhero doctor that helps heal all the other superheroes in need. He has the power to do CPR on his patients and help them breathe and function. What do you do if you’re suffering and in pain? You call MEDulla Man! He can bring down your blood pressure and keep your other autonomic functions in place. He will feed you until you swallow your food and vomit. Protect him well though, because the superheroes will no longer be able to work. Since they constantly tire out from working so much, they need a doctor with them at all times.

Medulla: controls autonomic functions, and relays nerve signals between the brain and spinal cord. It is also responsible for controlling several major points such as breathing, blood pressure, swallowing, and vomiting.

Pons

The Pons, also known as the Paladin of Notable Speed, is one of the fastest superheroes out there; therefore making him one of the important messenger superhero. At lightening quick speed, he carries the messages from one place to another, allowing the smartest superhero (cerebrum) to convey its orders to its fellow cerebellum (the superhero soldier). During its free time it also helps out with passing on messages to other superheroes as well. But be careful with this one, because if he gets mad, he will turn into a villain. He will not deliver any messages and the whole system will be in utter confusion. Due to this rebellion, many superheroes will not be able to function and may even freeze to death. Some myths say that Pons is so handsome and dreamy, that many women dream about him too.

Pons: The main function is to act as a bridge that connects the cerebral cortex and the cerebellum. This allows the “thinking” part of the brain to work with the “movement” part of our brain.

Cerebellum

The cereballerinum is the daughter of the great lord, the brain. She is so powerful that an old myth states that she created her father…how is it possible? Nobody knows. It is another one of the enchanting gifts she has. She also has the uncommon superpower of enchanting other superheroes with her fine sense of coordination in movement, posture, and balance. She sits in her grand chair as she continues to enchant with her beautiful poise and balance. If she is angered, however, she will make you look like a fool. She can make you look drunk or tipsy and will cut off your senses, making it hard to brush your teeth or even wear your clothes. So whatever you do, do not mess with Princess Cereballerinum because she better to just look at…trust me.

Cerebellum: Helps control direction, rate, force, and steadiness of our movements bye monitoring impulses from our motor and sensory centers.

Thalamus

The Stealamus is an evil function which forces all the sensory information to relay its information to it. All sensory information except for smell, that is. It copies all the information from all these senses before sending it to the cortex. This greedy superhero does not do much harm unless if it is annoyed or irritated. If that is the case, then the Stealamus will use its powers to cast a spell on you which results in severe attention and concentration problems. Even if you mess with its brother, the bipolarthalamus (hypothalamus), it will cast the confusion spell on you.

Thalamus: major relay station for incoming and outgoing sensory information. Each of our senses (except smell) relays its impulses through the thalamus

Hypothalamus

The Bipolarthalamus, the brother of the Stealamus, is the scariest of all the villains. It has the ability to control the atmosphere. “How is that possible?” one may ask. Oh believe me, it is. The Bipolarthalamus can make one angry, calm, sad, happy, ecstatic, or even hyper. It also decides whether you should eat or drink or control your temperature. The most dangerous thing about this super villain is that you cannot live with him, and you cannot live without him. He keeps you alive, yet he is hard to control. If you decide to hurt him, he may as well demand you to fall into coma because he will refuse to control your vital functions. So be careful with this one, you never know how he will feel next.

Hypothalamus: The control center for eating, drinking, sexual rhythms, endocrine levels, and temperature regulation. It is also involved in many of our complex responses like anger, fatigue, memory, calmness, and serves as the "conductor" of our emotional orchestra.

Hippocampus

The HipD’ManCampus is a very intelligent superhero. He is blessed with the gift of memory, so he is able to convert any short term memory thing into long term and remember his surroundings. This enables him to remember all his allies, foes, and their powers and weaknesses. He can also learn fast, due to his memory power. If he gets hurt, however, it is a major problem because most of the memory power will be in a state of confusion or lost.

Hippocampus: most commonly associated with memory functioning and is particularly prone to loss of oxygen.
