The Happening of Death
The evening of the dull little sky,
An ominous knife has met my thighs.
For times I ought to yelp for help,
But none has heard the voice of mine.
“Sigh, sigh, oh, my thighs.”
I let it bled unto my heart.
The sorrow of my slew flesh dries,
Thus my mind and body aches to apart.
My eyelids unclose and be my lens touching the atmosphere.
My eyes are opened anew, but it did not see.
“Did I pretend to not exist?”
“For love may I again see?”
The wish was granted,
And that I am reborn.
I thanked to be blessed,
But it was I who is god to bless myself.
*This is a concrete poem without a rhyme scheme or normal meter
*I believed in spirit after deaf, and the experience was referring to the 4th dimension. Also, I believed that god (in the context of praying) was an illusion made by human.
Misconception-ally Euphonium (Free verse)
The radiant of the silver structure’s reflection
Has glittered into those visions.
“What is this that you perform with?”
“The king of all brass instruments,
A euphonium is what I play.”
“Thy have not heard from thee the euphonium,
Be it a baritone?”
“For the sake of mine,
Please consider the difference of thee.”
“What is the enmity of your defiance?”
“None that would you understand my ineffability.”
Euphoniously Euphonium
The warmth and the dolce of the euphonium are strong yet gentle.
It melodically glides through the prosaic tone of the orchestra.
Of all the other brazen notes, let it the amplest for your mental.
By the fact that it is a beautiful instrument with none that is extra,
I am proud to perform with thee as a representative of thee loving sound.
The cacophony of the orchestra will be fastened by the enlightened euphonist.
It merges the prominent pride of marching and the loving of classical sound.
Let the lily be the cure of your mental pressure like being lost in the mist,
And be thee eternally.
*Brazen referred to other brass instruments; and mental means in health of mind
*Euphonist is not in the dictionary but it represents euphonium players
*Lily is a healing plant
Obligation of the Asian Childs
Of those emotions that I feel no more,
I lived upon the world of loveliness.
Between the choice of life or death and love,
I would choose for the selfishness of my life.
But then would I remember that sake of my parents?
My grades and life are nothing a notice of pride,
But it is my duty to be successful.
For I am the candidate of the family,
That I shall not be ashamed by the ability of mine.
Be it my obligation will you boast as
my parents.
The Uncreated Nonexistence
Under the name of god,
May I be the creator of another universe?
Be it that I can create another god.
Have thee write the meters in the blank verse.
Could it just be another thought,
Or may it be the possibilities of the 11th dimension?
Be the non-existing existence exists,
And after all, god is just another production
Of another god’s lists.
The way to find your way to heaven
Is to create your own little Eden.
All and all means nothing more,
Believe in yourself and you will find more.
Poem Reading Walkthrough (Hard Copies not Included)
First of all, everyone will assume my writing is weird (implied idea right here), which is why you probably need this walkthrough / explanation.
l The order of the poems: are put together for a trading-backward-affect kind of thing. The order would be from 3 to 1. This means I implied that everything can be trade back with logic.
Poems:
The Happening of Death
l I put the date above the poem for: the shape I want to have, and the sense of when this happened. By the way, the shape is a person lying dead.
l Summary: One evening, I was killed by a knife (I am not sure if anyone did it) that stabbed my thighs, and no one helped (but they’re there). I complained of my thighs, but it bled dried. In the state of nearly death, my soul departs my body. I fell a sleep from death, but woke up finding myself “blind” (that I think a soul would exist in the 4th dimension because of a bunch of theories that I made myself, and some actually are approved theory, but not from me.) “Did I pretend not to see,” means that I was trying to avoid the fault of my death (see theory of “Law of Attraction” if you were interested.) The next sentence meant to ask to be reborn (Buddhism have a theory of reborn after life) for that I actually enjoyed living. Then, I granted my own wish to reborn.
Misconception-ally Euphonium
l This is just a little conversation that I always had because no one knows what an euphonium is (have fun reading.)
l This also relates to the next poem that I wrote. That would imply, “How can such an instrument be unknown?”
Euphoniously Euphonium
l This poem is one of those that are more emotional and fancy with language (even though mine has bad vocabulary and grammar.)
l Line 1: Euphonium has a warm, deep tone that sounds… good (or listen to this for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aqw8v1ILB2g .)
l Line 2: Relates to the history of euphonium that string started to achieve perfection and it’s time for brass wind revolution
l Line 4: The tone is rich but not excessive unlike French horn (most people consider a French horn would sound better, but I think French is beautiful instead of euphonium’s kindness)
l Line 6: Euphonium has a lot of solos, and that’s why it is the leader of bands
l Line 7: It’s one of those instruments that lied in the border of marching and classical music
l Line 9: This is my wish, for people to fall in love with euphonium forever.
Obligation of Asian Childs
l For a progressive Asian, the poem should be how they exactly feel
The Uncreated Non-existence
l This poem involves string theory, so, I wouldn’t want to explain it. You can try figuring things out if you’re interested.
Okay, I hoped this walkthrough helped, but I think people would still be confused. I tried using less puns and talking of things that I know much about. All this wasn’t for grade but for people to truly understand my reading, because it was painful last year that people only understand the best essay which I wrote at the end of the 2nd semester. Well, at least I showed improvements and of course, it wasn’t enough. I’ll hope you to enjoy my reading, thank you.
